*Sorry for the overload of Avery photos. I’m sure my mom and sister are the only ones who appreciate it! She’s just the cutest most available subject right now!*
In keeping with my theme to post one photo a day and try new editing techniques, I decided to fool around with the Tone Curve in Lightroom 4.
I wanted to create a look that was different than a crisp black and white photograph. I was going for more of a worn look. If I could, I would have burned the edges like a pirate treasure map.
Here is Avery with Grandma Sproul during our visit in July. Button, you inherited her thick Ernst eye-brows that you can enjoy shaping one day. After college. Okay, high school. Hopefully, you inherited her thick head of hair, too. Everyone on the Alarcon side keeps calling you “peladita,” but I have news for them: You are growing hair! Maybe there will be enough to french braid by the time you are in Pre-K!

Alex - Uhhhh, really, there can be no such thing as too many photos of Avery! You captured a beautiful moment here! I’m sure Avery will have hair as beautiful and thick as Grandma Lauren’s one day and lots of love to go with it!
