Baby David’s Nursery

According to my research… Those are pretty much the 4 words that make my friend, Rania, such an awesome “pregnant at the same time friend.”  We met in grad school and partnered to study for our exit exams.  It was intellectual chemistry! Yes, I did just write that.  We both got married in January of […]

Aimee - See you Tuesday!

Dear Baby Avery: 33 Weeks

Dear Baby Avery, Well, I meant to write you last week, but I was distracted by Mad Men on Netflix.  I think I watched all 4 seasons in 2 weeks.  Your dad asked me what was morally uplifting about the show.  Yeah, get ready for those types of questions.  Have answers ready.  And learn to […]

Best Auntie! - Someone is calling you Momma! I’m all for the 6 week plan…I’m so excited! I can’t to meet my beautiful little niece!

Oh and your dad is a big softy….he said no dogs on the couch or bed and you will see where he and Patchy post up everyday now. Perseverance is the key. ;) Sorry Seth, but she would have figured it out anyway.

Baby David's Nursery | Aimee Desiree Press - ADP - [...] and how we made it through pregnancy.  Okay, I’m still a few months away from delivering (6 weeks, right Baby Avery?!).  Rania, however, just delivered a healthy baby boy  her and her husband, Nick, [...]

Grandma Alex - Don’t worry little Avery, if your momma and daddy ditch you on their anniversary Grandma Alex is going to be right there with you with cookies and icecream…before dinner!

Dear Baby Avery: 34 Weeks, La Leche, and Believing | Aimee Desiree Press - ADP - [...] much as I tease your dad that his “conversations” with you are silly, he always prays that you will be a strong follower of Christ.  I’d like to [...]

Thanksgiving: Do It Like a Man

My Thanksgiving Facebook status update pretty much sums up the Johnston-Wellman-Sproularcon Thanksgiving 2011 feast: Off to The Del with family where the food is served to you without any prep work on my part, the dishes are removed for me, no clean-up, and plenty of football watching. Yes, today I’m thankful to celebrate Thanksgiving like […]

Aex - Loved The Del…and no cooking or cleaning. It’s nice to take a year off. Of course, now I may start thinking this every year!

Southern Baby Traditions: Silver Spoons and Baby Gowns

Pin It I couldn’t believe all the pretty boxes my mom showed up with for my shower.  I’ve accused her of not being sentimental all these years; yet, wrapped in tissue paper was irrefutable evidence that she stood wrongly accused.  My favorite childhood books, a pink coat that I had loved at a child, and […]

Jen - I love your traditions and tradition in general. And holy moly that gown is so cute. <3

Alex - Sentimental is my middle name. How can people not know this about me??

November 29, 2011

Aimee - Awe, thanks :) I hope this kid fits in it. It feels like I’m carrying around a 10-pound baby these days ;)

Baby Avery Shower: Details, Details

Meet my sister, Amanda. Pin It Besides being better in math and dancing, she also got the art gene in the family.  I know, I make it sound like there was just one gene up for grabs and she lucked out.  But, in all honesty, it kind of feels like that’s just the way it […]

Felz - So lovely! If I ever have a baby shower can you please loan me your clever sister? Love the name too by the way. Great choice you guys

November 22, 2011

Aex - The sweet little Hawaiian grandma who made the bracelet assured me ku’uipo means sweetheart. They wouldn’t lie at those pre-luau arts and crafts shows just to make a sale now would they? Now, if I can only find the card for the lady who makes the authentically pink Hawaiian grass skirts for baby girls; super adorable and I’m convinced Avery needs one. Amanda out did herself for your shower. You two are very lucky to be sisties. And Baby Avery is even luckier to have you two for a mom and auntie! Love you both and Baby Avery too!

Dianne - Oh Aimee it was a wonderful shower and so good to see all you after so many years. The entire shower exuded lots of love. By the way the cookie was delicious. I ate the whole carriage on the way home.

November 22, 2011

Aimee - Thank you so much for coming! The soccer net, ball and shorts were a BIG HIT! We loved it!

November 22, 2011

Aimee - She’s really good with babies, too! Yeah, we gave up on the French name. Next time ;)

November 22, 2011

Aex - BTW, the baby’s name is totally wonderful, not that Grandma Alex is biased in any way… ;)
